Hair loss is a natural process of the body itself:

  • Anagen (growth) phase: This phase lasts between 2 and 7 years and is when hair actively grows. Approximately 85-90% of follicles are in this phase at any given time.
  • Catagen (transitional) phase: This phase lasts 2-3 weeks and is when hair growth stops and the follicle shrinks.
  • Telogen (resting) phase: This phase lasts about 3 months. At the end of this phase, the hair falls out and the hair follicle enters the anagen phase again.

In fact, anyone can lose around 100 hairs a day (both men and women), but although it is true, and although the cause is not yet fully understood, there is a seasonal hair loss in autumn and spring.

So… When do we have to worry about it?

If the seasonal hair loss goes beyond 3 months, it would be necessary to consult a specialist. Also, when we observe a loss of density, thinner and weaker hair, or when the scalp starts to show more.

The benefits of hair mesotherapy

Although hair transplants are usually the most common option when we think of a treatment against hair loss, mesotherapy is the most innovative and effective treatment we have today.

We are born with 100,000 follicles on our heads, of which 60,000 tend to be weaker, and the other 40,000 are stronger and thicker.

Hair transplantation is more indicated when we have small areas without hair, as the number of hairs that can be transplanted from one area to another is limited (we can only transplant 8,000 of the 40,000 strongest hairs).

Hair mesotherapy, on the other hand, allows natural hair growth through the injection of certain specific medications for hair loss, in combination with plasma (PRP) obtained from the patient’s own blood.

In addition, mesotherapy provides the following benefits:

  • Combats the first signs of alopecia
  • Promotes hair regeneration
  • Increases hair density
  • Thickens fine hair
  • Reduces the appearance of dandruff
  • Nourishes the scalp
  • Improves the quality, texture and shine of hair
